Switzerland’s digital innovation capacity
Good, but not good enough
How well is Switzerland positioned compared to other OECD countries in the application and development of digital technologies? Deloitte and BAK Economics investigated this question and developed the index "Digital Innovation Capability". It measures a country's ability to develop, commercialise and use innovative digital technologies to ensure the long-term prosperity of an economy. Switzerland's eighth place overall is a good result, but it has a lot of catching up to do in the areas of start-ups, investments and patents. The state, but above all the companies, must take specific measures to seize opportunities.
